Bal Médiéval

Dance party with a medieval theme. The entertainment is provided by Morescarole, a troupe of musicians with a passion for medieval music. This event is built around learning simple dances so that you can then dance on your own.

The evening is organised by La Bravandrille, an association of medieval and Renaissance court dancers from Dole, who also organised the "Dole en médiéval" event in 2019. Coming in costume is great, but so is coming as you are. You don't need to know how to dance medieval, as there will be introductory courses.

There will be 2 breaks during the evening:
- the first will be a presentation of the Nyckelharpa, a traditional bowed string musical instrument whose origins date back to the Middle Ages, by Annette Osann, luthier, accompanied by "la petite Nickel-Bande", Nyckelharpa students from the Karovan workshop
- a second with a dance demonstration by La Bravandrille and its dancers in period costume.

Hypocras, a typically medieval drink, to be consumed in moderation of course, will be on sale at the refreshment bar.
