WOOD TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT THE VILLAGE FESTIVAL!
On 16 August 2026, the village is set to enjoy a day that will be as festive as it is unforgettable! This year’s event will put wood in the spotlight, with a rich, varied and thoroughly enjoyable programme.
Right from the start of the day, the streets will come alive with the opening of the village fair, the funfair and the craft market. With original creations and attractions for young and old alike, everyone will be able to stroll around, explore and be surprised.
The street band will be parading throughout the afternoon, creating a warm and lively atmosphere as visitors make their way from one stall to the next.
Wood takes centre stage: a brand-new challenge!
As the centrepiece of this year’s event, the village will host an amateur woodcutting challenge, open to enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike, forming one of the four rounds of the French Championship. Axe handling, the ‘passe-partout’ technique, timed trials, precision and sportsmanship will all be on display. Demonstrations by professionals, as well as woodturning workshops, will allow the public to admire technical skills and discover authentic craftsmanship.
Numerous exhibitors specialising in woodworking will be on hand to share their passion, showcase their creations and chat with visitors.
A dance evening to round off the day in style!
As night falls, the festivities will continue with a grand dance evening open to all. Music, a friendly atmosphere and good cheer will be the order of the day as we bring this exceptional day to a close.
