Having made her name with her hit single ‘Banana Split’, Lio is now one of the greatest icons of French-language pop. The release of ‘Banana Split’ in 1979 paved the way for a string of hits such as ‘Amoureux Solitaires’, ‘Amicalement Vôtre’ and ‘Week-end à Rome’, a duet with Étienne Daho.
With 11 albums to her name, Lio is making a grand comeback with her 12th studio album: *Geoid Party in the Sky*. An album born of a desire to return to her first loves and to pay tribute to the wonderful encounters life has brought her. And it is precisely these wonderful encounters throughout her career that her new project is so rich in. Lio has therefore called upon some of the biggest names in the new generation of pop: Louane, Hoshi, Corine, Isia Marie, Betta Lemme, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Marie Darrieussecq and Sofia Portanet have all agreed to write for the Belgian-Portuguese icon.
Each song is, above all, centred on an encounter or a passing on of wisdom, and explores themes common to all women, across all generations.
