Tour de France à Dole

On Friday 17 July 2026, the cameras will be trained on Dole and millions of viewers will watch the start of the world’s most popular cycle race on their screens. The people of Dole, meanwhile, will have the chance to experience this event live!

Dole had previously had the privilege of being on the 2022 route, and had taken the opportunity to celebrate Louis Pasteur as part of the bicentenary of his birth. It was a wonderful tribute and an opportunity to highlight the work and discoveries of one of the world’s most famous scientists.

2026 will once again be a chance to come together to enjoy the event and its many activities. Popular and friendly, the Tour de France will once again find an enthusiastic audience in Dole.

For the first time, the riders and the tour caravan will pass through the town’s historic centre.
